We’re getting back in the swing of a new, non-vacation week now, but I’ve been having such a nice time going through pictures from last week in Fredericksburg. Kind of makes me feel like I’m back there again.
We stayed in Amoroso Cottage, which might possibly be the quaintest little B&B you ever did see. You get the whole three bedroom house to yourself, and it. was. fabulous. I was like a little kid in a candy shop while we were there… happily perusing the rooms and marveling at all the delicious vintage touches around every corner, the warm hardwoods, and that general feeling of being wrapped up in a cozy, worn blanket that an old house offers. We absolutely loved this place.
I have plenty more pictures from the trip, but for now here are some photos from the cottage. I hope they brighten up your Monday morning! :)

These are gorgeous! I love the photo of the vintage photograph collection. What cozy place to stay!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, this is absolutely breath taking! I love looking up resorts & hotels! They're my favorite part!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous ! Glad y'all had a wonderful time! Much needed R&R time, I can't wait to get mine this Friday !!
ReplyDeleteI want this decorator to come re-do my apartment.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a wonderful spot to relax - glad you two got some time before summer school starts up!
My favorite picture is actually the one of your legs in the mirror. That's such a cool shot.
Amazing! I would want to take everything home :).
ReplyDeleteI swear, I'm going to kill my Blogger ID. The last comment was me. *headsmack*
ReplyDeletethat place is perrrfect. and perfectly captured, by you!
ReplyDeleteI love the feel of that place. This might sound cheesy, but your pictures really make it come to life. I would stay there in a heartbeat. And I am so with you on the accommodations. It's always what I spend the most time researching, as where my husband will just randomly pick some place and we'll end up sharing our hotel room wall with a nightclub (true story).
ReplyDeleteSO cute!!
ReplyDeleteThis place is SO stinkin cute!! Especially that chandelier!
ReplyDeleteI always love to find nice places to stay too. Sometimes relaxing in a nice "home away from home" is the best vacation one can take.
ReplyDeleteI am the same way when it comes to going on adventures, I love the hotels the rooms the wall hangings etc... so glad yall had a great time! && your pictures look amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThat house looks amazing, and so cozy! I think I need a trip like that in my life!

ReplyDeleteI love everything about this post, Jenni. From how you described how cozy it is, to your dreamy and beautiful photos... now this sounds like a dream vacation! <3 :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun -- love it. My boyfriend and I are bed and breakfast obsessed ourselves! We stayed at an adorable place in Fredericksburg (Virginia, that is!) for our anniversary in March and I just fell in love with the place. So warm and cozy. We had the whole upstairs to ourselves (not as nice as a whole house, but still awesome!) and it was like staying with a beloved, eccentric and welcoming aunt. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are going to have to give me the name of this place so I can go jump on the bed! :) DEVINE!
ReplyDeletelooks so pretty and relaxing
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun... So cozy! Love it.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, you picked a great place to stay!!! I have to say that a great trip can seriously be ruined by a bad experience with wherever you are staying.....I tend to put the most time deciding where we will stay and even coming up with sime ideas of where to eat too.
ReplyDeleteHope your trip left you feeling refreshed!
How beautiful!! I imagine you'd never want to leave! Glad to hear you had a wonderful time! xo Kait
ReplyDeletethese pics def. brighten up my Monday morning. thank you! :)

ReplyDeletehow lovely!!! i kind of know what you mean- i like to lounge and relax on vacation, too.. more so than i like to sight see (:
ReplyDeletei am with you on the accommodations-- it sets the mood for the whole trip, especially if you're wanting a romantic or relaxing time with your hub :)
ReplyDeletelove that photo of your legs!
Luxury!!! Look at that bathtub...I'd be spending most of my time in there! And might I add that your yellow dress matches the environment perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThe Amoroso Cottage looks amazing. I do hope my husband and I will be able to take a nice little weekend vacation like that this year. Our honeymoon just simply wasn't enough time away!
ReplyDeleteso gorgeous--the perfect getaway!
ReplyDeleteThis looks absolutely divine! I also always put a lot of effort into the accommodation, it's so fun when you first walk through the door and see the place in person :)

ReplyDeleteYour photos always take my breath away! I love all of them. We went to Fredricksburg last year in November and stayed at this little cottage called "Cottages Inn". Pure heaven! We had a little one bedroom house just to ourselves and it was wonderful. I am like you; I put way more thought into the accommodations than the actual stuff we'll be doing during the day! Nothin' wrong with that... :)

ReplyDeleteWOW!!! Amazing!!! Breathless. What wonderful photos and a beautiful place to stay. <3
ReplyDeleteI bought one of the Living Social deals for a bed and breakfast a few hours away. My boyfriend at the time and I spent an amazing weekend there last winter! I honestly didn't even worry about what was around and we just camped out in the beautiful room! It was the best! And that's actually when he proposed to me!!! When I think Bed and Breakfast, I think: 'let's camp out and never leave'... not: 'let's tour the town!' And I wouldn't change a thing!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a wonderful time! Such a cute place!
Oh, the town we were in had a few great antique shops! We did end up venturing out for some fresh air for a few hours ;)
This looks like the most relaxing quaint B&B!!
ReplyDeleteI've been eager to stay in one myself one day...not by myself of course. That's just weird.

Oh. My. Goodness. What a gorgeous cottage!!! You know how a lot of people want mansions, etc? Well, Jen and I just dream of a cozy little nook. A sailboat, a cottage, a teeny tiny gothic "mansion" (as in look, not size.) This is just... Stunning.
ReplyDeletelooks so homey. i want to go.
ReplyDeleteLooks so cute & charming :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing B&B! I need to search out B&B's around our area for a little staycation more often!
